General Description

Pre-bookable services (e.g. shopper bus services)

 Weekly and fortnightly shopper bus services to Salisbury from the following areas:  

  • Allington (including Gomeldon, Idmiston, Newton Tony & Porton)
  • Amesbury (including Boscombe Down, Bulford, Durrington, Larkhill & Shrewton)
  • The Winterbournes (including Bishopdown)

 Local Salisbury services also serving: Bishopdown (including Bishopdown Farm), The Friary, Gloucester House, Harnham, Hudson Road, Pembroke Court, Quidhampton, Salisbury North & Central, Steeple Langford and Wilton

 Dropping off at Salisbury Centre (including Shopmobility), Tesco’s & Waitrose

Scheduled public transport services

  •  Amesbury ‘Hoppa’

Monday to Saturdays (not Public Holidays)

Two scheduled routes-

Anticlockwise route (from 0730 – 0900) departs Amesbury Bus Station and serves Solstice Park.

Clockwise route (from 0945 – 1758) to Amesbury Tesco’s via Solstice Park, Porton Road, Boscombe Down, Archer’s Gate, Salisbury St Post Office, London Road and more.

  •  Bourne and Avon Valley Community Bus (a Connect2Wiltshire service)

 Operates Monday to Friday (between 0900 and 1430)

 Serves a number of towns and villages in the Bourne and Avon Valley including Amesbury, Burbage, Ludgershall, Pewsey and Tidworth. The Bourne and Avon Valley Community Bus can pick passengers up from any location that the vehicle can access.

Seats must be booked by midday the day before travel.

Trips/days out

Community Transport South Wiltshire offer trips and days out to members at very reasonable prices to various locations and events in and around Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire. A fully accessible minibus is provided to take passengers on these trips and days out.

 Geographical area bookings accepted from: Salisbury and South Wiltshire

 Cost: £17 + 85p per mile + £7.75/hr for driver’s time

Group transport services – self drive

Vehicle available / seats: Mercedes Sprinter (wheelchair accessible) / 15 passenger seats. Can accommodate 2 wheelchairs + 10 other passengers.

Type of groups that can be carried: Community groups in and around Salisbury – subject to availability.

 Geographical area bookings accepted from: Salisbury and South Wiltshire

Cost: £17 + 85p per mile

Driver restrictions: Drivers must have minimum of 2 years’ driving experience; a full clean licence, be between the ages of 25 - 70 years and have a D1 (1 or 101) (or D1 (79 NFHR) / D1 (120)) entitlement on their licence.
